Michael Willems is an award-winn
ing event, art, family, and commercial photographer. As an engineer, he combines a love of the art of light and composition with a thorough understanding of the technology. He is accredited with PPOC and has earned LPPO licentiate status. He has received several awards, including a Police Photo of the Year award and the 2013 OAC Cogeco Stars Among Us arts award. He was selected as one of Canada’s 100 leading photographers as part of Photosensitive’s Picture Change project.

Travel Photography is Michael’s strong point: he has worked in 38 countries worldwide. He wrote a well-known “Travel Photography” workshop that has been taught for many years across Canada.

More than anything, Michael is a born educator. One of North America’s most popular photography coaches and the author of the popular “Advanced Flash”, “Event Photography”, and “Travel Photography” signature seminars, he teaches worldwide. He is a keynote speaker at large events, and teaches privately, to small groups, and at colleges and schools including Sheridan College of Art and Technology, and the annual Niagara School of Imaging (NSI), as well as at Vistek Toronto.

Who Will Enjoy This Tour?

This tour is designed for anyone worldwide who enjoys photography, and wants to learn more of the fundamentals, detailed camera operation, and of course composition and travel photography. You speak English, have a DSLR camera, and enjoy both photography and the joy of travel. You will bring your camera and one or more lenses; spare batteries and memory cards, an international battery charger, and a tripod if possible. A laptop with card reader is a great extra, but not required.
