PS01: From snapshots to photographs

How do you avoid snapshots, and instead come home with great photos - photos to be proud of? This two-hour workshop takes you through the basics and more, and will enable even owners of simple snapshot cameras to immediately take better photos.

CB01: DSLR Camera Basics I

Even for simple snapshots, you need to know more than you might have thought. The “green auto” snapshot setting on your SLR needs you to know more than just “press that button”. From batteries to buttons to focus tips, this course starts you off right.

CB02: DSLR Camera Basics II

Beyond snapshot use, you need to know your program mode. Such subjects as focus, exposure, and many other adjustments will all become clear in this course.

Now you really get to know your camera’s advanced functions - but more importantly, you learn the secrets of aperture, shutter speed, the histogram, RAW, and many other advanced subjects.

FB01: Understanding Flash

You want to learn how to use your flash? We can help! This workshop will teach you more than the basics. Learn how to create good light; how to avoid the five most common errors, and how to produce pictures using one flash that look just like they were taken without a flash!

LB01: Lenses: Creative and Technical

What lens do I bring on my trip? Why should I buy a more expensive lens? What effects do I create with wide angle lenses, and when do I want a  telephoto lens? How do I decide whether a lens is good? What do all the markings mean? These and many other questions are answered in this intense two-hour course.
