Light, Composition, and Moment. That’s what makes a photo. So does Subject Definition, Getting Attention, and Picture Simplification. And so does “f/8 and be there”. A photo can be made, and analyzed, in many different ways.
But all of them have two requirements in common: knowing your equipment and knowing technique. And that is where many photographers, including pros and aspiring pros, need help.
Pro photographer Michael Willems started cameratraining.ca to help people know their equipment and how best to use it. He and his partners Joseph Marranca and Gregory Talas are experienced photographers and experienced teachers who teach many photography workshops: They love to teach and are very good at it. They also lecture widely.
Michael is a long-time Canon shooter who has worked in 33 countries and who shoots for newspapers, specializes in events, is a member of David Honl’s Round Table, and wrote and teaches popular workshops including “Travel Photography” and “Advanced Flash for Pros”.
Joseph is one of Canada’s most creative and experienced top commercial photographers and is an experienced teacher also.
Gregory, who runs the Kodiak Gallery, has been photographing as a pro for decades: he has shot all over europe and Canada, and has pictured people as well-known as Mikhail Gorbachev.
If you are a professional, advanced amateur, or emerging pro, you can benefit from their knowledge. Michael and partners are holding workshops and seminars in the Greater Toronto Area and across North America, aimed at helping you get to grips with your advanced equipment in your specific situations.
These hands-on seminars will help you if you are either an emerging professional, or if you need customized, individualized training that is not offered elsewhere.
After years of experience teaching photography Michael Willems realized that the training available in North America has yet to address some photographers’ needs: specific advanced needs - your needs. The team of Michael, Joseph Marranca and Gregory Talas is here to help.
